I've bought the film numerous times, but it's great to have on the go like this 🥰 One of my favorite films ever… Kurosawa, imo, is in the top 3 filmmakers of all time! He made incredible films earlier but this is probably his first true masterpiece.

Beautiful, painful, and compassionate. Fantastic story telling. I saw it as a teenager at Berkeley's PFA and a second time 45 years later here while sitting in New Delhi. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
