The position of TBS announcer Sayako Nomura, who entered her fourth year with the company this spring, is in jeopardy.
Known as the daughter of popular Noh performer Mansai Nomura, she grew up a very young lady, having attended Shirayuri Gakuen from kindergarten on. She began her career as an announcer after graduating from Keio University’s Faculty of Environment and Information Studies.
She has a flamboyant image, having won the grand prix in the “Miss Keio SFC Contest” during her college years and also working as a model for a fashion magazine. In the information program “Hiruobi,” which she appeared on after joining the company, she sometimes surprised people with her quick-witted talk.
