It's a massive production, hugely expensive show. And they cannot air it because Ichikawa Ennosuke is ine of the castle lords.

I’m not enjoying watching this brand new revival of Takeshi’s Castle because I really wanted to go to Japan and participate on the show but I’m so upset that I didn’t get selected because I could’ve made a lot of Japanese friends there 😢😢😢

It's amusing that they show Britain first. Which is ironic because Challenge TV first discovered this show as a way to pad out the schedules….. they weren't anticipating on how high the ratings was!
