Bunsho Hattori, Masahiro Higashide, the performers of the documentary film “WILL”, and Elisabeth Miyaji, the director of the film, appeared and greeted their audience on stage at the theater called “Theater Shinjuku” on March 10, 2024. Moreover, they told several inside stories of the film.
Bunsho Hattori, who was standing in the center of the stage, is a mountain climber, writer, and novelist. He published a lot of books in Japanese.
Higashide Masahiro, who was standing on the left as we the audience faced, is an actor. There is a great difference between approval and disapproval in his public life and his private life. However, I believe that he is so unique an actor that he is indispensable to the Japanese cinema world.
Elisabeth Miyaji is a male filmmaker. He is good at producing a film featuring an idol singer or a girl band. There is a rumor that any entertainer he shoots gets popular.
映画『WILL』とは、スキャンダル、離婚、そして事務所からの独立を経て、北関東のとある山岳地域で新たに狩猟生活を始めながら、俳優生活を再始動していく俳優・東出昌大の姿を追った140分のドキュメンタリー映画です。2024年3月10日現在、東京ではテアトル新宿、渋谷シネクイントほかで上映中です。

18分近くから服部さんが宮地監督がコロナ禍で激太りし、その後やせたことについて話しています。
その後、デブに関する嫌悪感も語っています。他人の身体的特徴には触れないほうがよいので、服部さんのためにも、この会話に音楽を被せようかとも私は思いました。
しかし、よく聴くと、服部さんは努力では変えようのない他人の生まれつきの体質ではなく、体質的に太るはずのない人間の怠惰、不摂生を批判しているし、デブは不摂生から生まれるもの以外にも、自然界の動物にも見られるように、当人の体質を考えると生まれつきのものでもありうることも服部さんのことばの端々に表れているとみなせます。つまり、デブの権利を明らかに排他的に侵害・制約しようとしているわけでありません。平たく言うと、体質・体型いじりに関して、明白なシロであるとは言えませんが、しかし、その一方で、明白なクロであるとも言えません。視聴者各位が良識をもってこのヴィデオを視聴してくれると信頼し、私はこの部分に音楽を乗せてカットすることなく、アップロードすることにしました。
